Being an 8th grader is a really big role in middle school. The 6th and 7th graders look up to you like an older sibling so you have to be a good role model to them. On the first couple days of being an 8th grader you have an assembly and you learn about BCIT and thinking about what you want to do in high school. In 8th grade you get to run for student government offices like president, vice president, etc. which is really exciting. Toward the middle/end of the school year 8th graders have a formal dance and most importantly, graduation. Graduation is very special because you are evolving from being a kid to becoming almost an adult.
